The Speak Out Conference started in 1982 to support people moving from institutions to community living.

 

Our conference is longest running conference for people with intellectual disability in Australia.

Speak Out follows nothing about us without us and co-design through the planning and implementation of conference. Representatives and leaders with intellectual disability are on committees, and we support people with intellectual disability to be MCs and presenters at conference.
